Does anybody know how to bypass the air flow meter on a Turbo II so you can hook your intake filter directly to your turbo without going through the meter
|
you cant do that, it wont run. you need the hks air filter adaptor thingee

you could buy a haltech for $1200....
otherwise you need it. |
Go to a hotwire MAF from a Z32 twin turbo. It'll flow tons more air than the POS airflow meter that the crummy engineers tossed in there. Are you talking about a kouki or zenki T2? To change MAF you'll need a S-AFC or e-Manage to convert the signal. It's been done before so it is very possible. I just need to find out some more details because I'll be doing this soon.

hey you can do that with the e manage! thats a good idea

if nothing else they look alot cooler. why not a mustang cobra MAF. supposed to be real big. pretty cheap too!

I'm not an imaginative person. I'm only going this route because it's been done before. I'll be maxing out the crummy stock AFM soon enough. I'll be getting an e-Manage anyway to handle the 720cc secondaries that will be put in there, so I might as well take advantage of it's capabilities. I'll be getting a MAF from a RB20DE for free, and they wire up the exact same as the Z32 twin turbo MAF does and flows almost as much. It should flow plenty for the hi-flo turbo that's going in.

I just love how so many people say that this can not be done. I haven't heard it here, but on some "other" forums. It's my mission in liife to make them look like fools. The naysayers of the world can kiss my grits. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/blackeye.gif
