I'm makin a list of stuff to buy next for my project(and yes, the exhaust is on there revvin,lol)...and I'm trying to pick out my igntion...I'm getting NGK race plugs and jacobs wires(which I already have, but need to replace now)...but for the ignition pack...I can't decide. I originally thought of just doing the crane hi-6, but I came across a the crane xr3000 full electronice iginition and I'm curious if you all have an opinion on this one? I dont want to use jacobs pack because its too pricey for the same gains. What about MSD...what are the opinions on this?

Because this topic has been debated a lot and most ppl reccomend them, the way vosko has it setup.

i'm not sure, the way vosko (and others) have setup those msd's is kindof annoying, you need 3 of those things for that setup. How much does each one weigh? They're not exactly tiny either, seems kindof lame to me.

jacob's sux

I'm sticking with stock. They work and i got 330 rwhp with a smooth flat torque curve. I would only go aftermarket if i was going extreme boost and power.

you can weld with an MSD 7AL in a pinch..... according to a few people i asked the stock ignition is good for about 350-400hp (crank), **** you and your RWHP! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
