Advice for starting after 2-3 years

So, while I'm kind of knowledgable on rotaries themselves, I do not know much about their oiling. That being said..

(TL:DR: how do I know my OMP is working, and will it pump enough oil even when the car isn't running, and secondly

I recently purchased a manual swapped 1988 GXL RX-7 that had emissions taken off and put back on in a winter 2 years ago due to cold starting issues, only to never fire again. So it had emissions removed, cold starting was meh, and then when reinstalled it has not fired since. I know my wording is terrible sorry. So recently I've been doing a little few tests to see if it would even sputter, only to look deeper and realize my fuel pump never kicks on

This being said, my main point, how would I make sure my OMP is working and safe enough to try and crank the car when I reinstall or replace my fuel pump. I really do not like the idea of scoring the housings on my car I've never gotten to hear before just to tear it down. Supposedly it ran like a dream when it ran after warming up, and the guy I bought it from is a good mutual so I have reason to believe him. I will be doing a compression test once I get a schrader valve for my compression tester I bought (didn't know some you had to install your own valve but that's okay) and I will let you know how that goes.

Some known specs, the car has new wires and brand new plugs, I don't believe it has ever been premixed but has been thought about. It has a racing beat header and pipe and OBX-R muffler, auto to manual swap, coilovers potentially eBay making the car maybe 3 inches from the ground, lower control arms and sway bar (iirc). It has a 3.9:1 open diff at the moment however I purchased a 1987 (iirc) 3.7 LSD for it. Any more I can remember of and I will update this thread.

This is my first thread on here and I will be glad to supply pictures when needed or asked for. Overall I believe my rotary engine should be fine from attempting to start it with a little brake fluid due to the lack of the fuel pump, however if worst comes to worst then I will accept the consequences of poor judgement and not preparing first. Thank you guys for reading!

P.S. if you have any tips for the fuel pump please let me know. I've heard similar stories of pumps going out during winter time and heard giving it a few light taps with a mallet can free things up. My friend and I tested it with an external battery and tried hooking up negative and positives to recieve no noise or sparks

Download the Factory Service Manual for your year (Google it), and run premix fuel until you're sure its functioning properly. Also, it ain't worth whacking the pump. Just replace it. You can get them on rockauto for a fair price.

Oh, and you actually remove the Schrader valve from the tester, not install one. You don't want it to hold pressure. You want to see the pressure peaks
