I remember j9fd3s saying there was a ground on the rear rotor housing that came loose from the factory. I searched for this ground to no avail. I think I found where it was supposed to go. anyway, I added a ground from the rear endplate to the firewall, and it feel like I picked up 10 hp in the upper rpms.

The hesitation is almost completely gone as well. Before, the car would sputter and sound like the revlimiter at 3500rpm, now its down to a barely noticable drop in power.

In conclusion... new grounds = more gooder.

haha gooder https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.png

10hp, that would be nice just for grounding.

to be honest, i added 2 new grounds but didn't pick up anything

i think it depends on the condition of the existing grounds and the charging system

as long as it made the car nicer and added some ass-dyno HP

then it was a good mod!

1Revvin7 03-13-2003 10:01 PM

CrazyAssRX7 03-14-2003 10:16 AM

u have any pics by any chance

and what kind of wire did you use for your grounds?

relisys190 04-07-2003 12:15 PM

so from the Rear Plate - Rotor Housing- to the Fire wall. Ill do it. As long as it help's

gazellis 04-07-2003 12:38 PM

So any place on the rear plate will work? Doesn't have to come from a specific bolt or anything? I'm just picturing in my head this rotary engine, sitting in its engine bay looking like a spider with 100's of tiny wires coming from it to various body parts. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png Every bolt on the engine has a ground wire coming from it. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

damn i think i wanna try this but im still a little lost

so common guyz , i know some body got the info i need

ive heard a lot of talk with our fc's getting either change of position or new wires and giving great power for such a lil thing yo can do

rotarychainsaw 04-07-2003 01:32 PM

Use thick stuff, I had some random wire from like an amp or something. I guess it is around 8 gauge.

On the rear plate there is a removable plate where the clutch fork used to go( on the old ass rotarys, I think) Just take off one of them. You might need to take off the oil filter to get to it tho.

Actually the ground goes from the Transmission (6mm Bolt) to the spade lug located to the right of the Windsield wiper.
