Is it as easy as taking out the pump and connecting the lines together? Will this mess up the brake balance?

Mazdatrix sells a kit to eliminate the ABS. Check it out, I think its less than $40. Not bad since it comes with a new stainless line! Bling.

All it is is a line and a tee. I guarauntee that I can get a tee and a piece of hydraulic line for less than $15.

Exactly, I can't see it being any more complicated than that, at least hydraulically - electrically could be a different story if it's integrated into the ecu.

In my S4 T2, there's a separate ABS computer. I pulled that too. Either way, once you pull the pump, the light's going to stay on in the cluster, so you'll have to pull the bulb, or put black electrical tape over it.

The way I removed the ABS might be a bit extreme, but it works well and really wasn't bad. I got a fresh rebuilt non-ABS master cylinder from auto parts store, pulled all brake lines and proportioning valve from a non-ABS junkyard car and re-plumbed the entire brake system. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif

No leaky ABS pump, no useless ABS ECU. Lightness = Quickness. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif

I was surprised how heavy the ABS pump/distribution block was. I had to pull it for preparations for the block off plates. A prior owner had already bypassed the ABS system w/ a tee and some line. Though I would eventually like to replumb the lines so it's a bit more tidy.

Yah, the ABS pump feels to have been carved out of an ingot of solid lead.

Anyone have a picture of the tee-ing or know where a write-up is at?
