I have new Auto Adjust Suspension struts on my car (dampers + springs -- replaced at all corners).



I'm trying to figure out the range of adjustment of the control rod itself (i.e., where is the "max firm" and "soft" setting)? Does the rod turn something inside that is continuously adjustable or just a toggle between the "normal", "firm", and "very firm" settings?

can i ask why you chose to replace them instead of going with something aftermarket?

Until yesterday, I had two FCs with coilovers, one for the street, and one for the track. Between the two of them, I've driven at least 15K miles on various stiffness settings, including three continuous 850 mile trips. On the track, the coilovers have worked well for the most part. But for a street driving application, I was never happy with the ride feel and NVH.



I'm aware of the variety of options available for the FC in terms of springs, dampers, and adjustability (if desired). This is discussed at length all over this forum.

Ever since then, I've been intrigued. Since my current s5 is in excellent condition (9.5/10) and nearly stock to being with, I've been thinking about restoring the AAS system, ending up with an FC that is essentially as it was born in 1989.

Yea i had the s4 base model bone stock and not it looks like a turbo s4.5
