Baldy 03-13-2003 03:17 PM

that's like the last piece of the puzzle, right? the rest is just details...

rx7machine 03-13-2003 03:18 PM

Can't wait to see the finished prodcut. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png The TII SE-X.

Racer X 03-13-2003 03:42 PM

So the SE-X will run soon then?Let us know how the motor runs when it starts.

1Revvin7 03-13-2003 03:43 PM

haha, about time! Don't you love getting new toys?

Rotaryman88 03-13-2003 03:58 PM

Well, I plan on buying the oil, filter, coolant and belts tomorrow...and I've gotta block the the BAC off somehow w/ a quick fix, and then I'll just try to start it...man this is awesome..i hate being at work though, i'd be about playin around w/ it right now. I also need to clean the TB up a lil...its sticking open...once/if it starts i'll check for leaks...move around my driveway a little...its got really old fuel in it though too...so i'm not sure how the motor is gonna like old '87 octane,lol...

but everything is cool, the rest is just details.

Also, i just want to stress that this ends the CONVERSION only...this only part one of the entire SE-X project, needless to say...ya'll aint seen nothin yet!

pengaru 03-13-2003 04:03 PM

has that motor been sitting outside like that this whole time?

Rotaryman88 03-13-2003 04:24 PM

Yea...I just left that ******* jspec outside to freeze...suprisingly...the motor still spins and i get good wooshes on the front rotor...(i spun it yesterday). I alreayd talked to atkins and they still want it...it may look bad...but thats all surface rust, and they use it for parts anyways...

And yes...I LOVE GETTING NEW TOYS!

HeffSpooled 03-13-2003 04:54 PM

What brand of oil cooler lines are those? They look nice. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif Is the SS between the black stuff coated?

pengaru 03-13-2003 05:26 PM

those are the SS lines available from mazdatrix that do not use the AN fittings, they are stock replacements with no adapters needed...

yes the black stuff is an insulator to protect the SS lines.

Turbo II 03-13-2003 05:29 PM

those oil lines are a ******* bitch to get off of the engine.

Turbo II 03-13-2003 05:30 PM

luckily u had that fan off, thats y i found it difficult

Rob x-7 03-13-2003 05:48 PM

So you should be running this weekend.

I hope the engine and oil cooler was plugged up this whole time?

Rotaryman88 03-13-2003 06:17 PM

The engine was plugged up on both ends and I left the bolts in the oil cooler. When I take stuff off, I try to put bolts back where they goes as not to lose them,lol...it works...most of the time https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

And yes, I plan on having it running this weekend. I really only tomorrow to work on it though. I am working all day saturday and saturday night I'm leaving for Columbia, Va to go camping and watch some rail buggy drag races, 400+hp trucks runnin through the mud, typical VA stuff,lol...my GF's dad has a fully built Toyota pickup w/ a 440HP Chevy small block...and of course NOS,lol..I'm going to watch him run some mud races and ****...

Rotaryman88 03-13-2003 06:18 PM

and yea...the fan was off cuz I'm gonna pickup my electric one tom hopefully
