I have an 88 vert that I'm basically restoring/rebuilding from the ground up and ofcourse doing the TII swap. I was going to just drop the diff but that didnt happen so we dropped the whole subframe. Now here is the problem I have...

1. Bushing Kits , which one to get first of all , also I've heard that the rear swaybar in the verts is either smaller or larger than in the coupes thus most bushing kits dont supply the right one for it. I have no problem purchasing a new rear sway but I've also heard that for example the Racing Beat one thats specifically made for the vert is the same size as the stock one just red so I dont see the point in doing that so maybe someone can recommend me another aftermarket choice.

2. Diff, How good does the stock TII diff handle power , should I leave it as is or throw some money at it, if so how?

Lastly while all that stuff is down what other areas should I focus on ?

Thanks to all those who reply....

I would go with the Energy Suspension kit, and the diff can handle lots of power, I wqould be more worried about the tab that you bolt the diff to the subframe with, common weak spot on thes subframe.

buy the RB sway bars front and rear and the drop links for the rear and buy the Mazdatrix drop links for the front sway bar, it will eliminate the need for the energy bushings for that part of the replacement, you will not be disappointed.

Energy bushings, like Nismo said, are a pretty good choice too.

And...Welcome to Nopistons!

Thanks for the quick replies. I guess Ill go with the Energy Kit as I planned. Also thank you for the welcome 89 Rag , your vert is amazing , hopefully mine will look half as good as yours when its done. Thanks again.

for the 86-88 cars there are 2 different sway bars. the turbo, vert, and gxl's all have the larger ones. the base models have the smaller ones.

Also as far the DTSS bushings go , should I go for the Racing Beat ones or the ones from http://www.mmr-direct.com/ . They are the same price but I also wanted to purchase the Subframe and Differential Bushings from them unless someone can recommend a better choice . Plus ordering everything from the same place would be nice shipping wise. Thanks....
