ok i know you guys have been through this before but i need help the car had been setting up and when i got it running i noticed the brakes were good the first 1/4 then nothing for the next 1/2 then rock hard the last for a sec then with the pedal fully pressed no brakes silly me been driving like a maniac with them like that for 2 weeks but i got used to driving with no brakes when i was a kid so .....anyway i finally took a look me and my neighbor and we bled them to death to no avail and even took the caliper off to check for a sticking cylinder but no stick or leak ??? oh and not paying attention broke a bolt its one of the 4 in the 4 piston caliper that i have no idea what thats for so please advise on that too what seems to be my problem please any help would be appreciated https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/violin.gif

master cylinder sounds like its bad

RotaryVillain 02-28-2009 03:26 AM

sounds like a hydraulic issue, replace master cylinder and slave cylinder

You have an internally leaking master cylinder. Also I would fix the broken bolt.

ok i found out that the bolt is one that is where you can split the caliper also i replaced the master and it did the trick also i drilled and retapped the hole and replaced the bolt cause my wife said so https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/angry.gif
