Can someone tell me how can i tell if i have self levelling struts?

I have an 87 gxl.

And also is it very hard of a job to replace the struts on this car?

the aas struts have a motor on top and you can see the wires going in there

they are quite simple to change out. oreilly and autozone also loan coil spring compressors for free, so i'd recommend that.

other than that, no special tools are necessary, although i would use a long screw driver to get off the nut that holds the shock-spring assembly together (keeps the setup from turniing when you loosen the nut).

personally, i'd suggest the KYB AGX shocks. the feel AWESOME, and have 4-8 settings to set the damping how you want it. they go for like $350-400 for teh set of 4.
