I know youre supposed to judge the problem by the color. It looks bluish-white and thats one of my problems. It smells more like burning gas than oil though.

Heres what I know as I recently acquired the car:

13B non turbo

140,000 miles (dont know if its been rebuilt)

5-speed

Just got new plugs/wires (NGK)

and a little seafoam.

It needs mufflers really bad as theyre both blown out (Have new ones coming Sunday)

I didnt see the point of putting them on yet until I fix the other problem.

Im going to be doing a compression test in the next couple of days, but haven't yet.

It takes a few seconds to start and then it idles jumpy and as it warms up it abruptly idles smooth. The main problem of concern I'm starting with is the smoking problem.

Leaky Injector?

any other ideas?

I need this back on the road ASAP so hopefully its not a rebuild :/

Im in Warren, Mi if any of you locals can help me out. Thanks alot

could also be coolant seals but I can't tell **** from your crappy video! Sorry. Blueish usually means oil while white means water. so you may be the winner of a lesson in rotary rebuilding. I had an 88 that smoke so bad I could drive around the block and come back into my own smoke trail. It was teh coolant seals. I said F-it and bought another motor cause I needed it done asap!

If its blueish oil control rings drive it till you can rebuild it watching your oil level.

After doing alot of looking around Im going to attempt to adjust the oil metering pump. If thats unsuccessful it gets some motor honey to keep the smoke down until I can pay to rebuild/drop a reman in there. Thanks

motor honey will not help it will only make matters worse. you are going to get a lot of build up in the motor from this stuff burning in there and might cause more damage. use regular oil and maintain levels or either don't drive it or rebuild it when you get a chance.

do you have problems after you turn it off?

I agree, just keep adding oil.

It was my understanding that the car was supposed to rev a bit for a minute or so until it finished the warm up and then would idle normally....

Mebbe you should call the mad scientist so you and he and pull the head apart and replace the rings you fried.

*AHEM!* Sorry.

Seriously, I've had the same problem and ended up (not because solely of THIS problem, mind you) just pulling it apart and getting the cooling ports welded and mended, as well as fixed one of my seals that got mauled. Honey won't do anything for you except gum **** up.

While the color isn't very discernible at all, from your vid, if you're not having any actual driving issues, I'd suggest changing out the oil and checking it, periodically until the time comes the rebuild.

Ever get around to that compression check?
