I have an 86' rx-7 13b. I am wanting to add a turbo to it. I am think of adding a t3/t4 hybrid. I know on a piston engine the compression ratio has to be dropped. Does it have to be dropped on a rotary engine, if so how do you do it. I plan on rebuilding the motor anyway. Another problem that I think that I might have is my fuel. The car has 4 factory injectors. two main and two secondaries that kick in at 3800 rpm. Will these injector give enough fuel if I put in a bigger fuel pump? I am not sure what size the injectors are, but if they are not big enough then what size will I need. I know that the drivetrain may not handle the stress of the extra power. One last thing that I think I might have problem with is the ecu might go hawire when I replace vacuum with boost. I will be using a stock manifold with a front mount intercooler. Any information that anyone can share would be greatly appreciated.

all your questions can be answer by looking at what the factory did, for the turbo 2.

they used lower compression rotors (8.5:1 instead of 9.4)

they used larger fuel injectors (4x550cc instead of 4x 460cc)

they also used a different ecu that uses a 2 bar map sensor instead of a 1 bar

they also put a bigger fuel pump into it.



the good news is that most of this stuff is easy to change

You're just gonna need a TII longblock and the whole drivetrain, along with an upgraded fuel system ,and you will need a TII wiring harness and ecu, or standalone will make it a lto easier but spendy. Make sure you have lots of time and money too.
