86' GXL, Does it Have an electric rev limiter??

yea it feels like an ignition cut off...i hit it a few times in my 88. The little ****** pulls all the way to it. I wouldnt be surprised the new owner has hit it a few times too..lol



13b1stgen loves them high *** rpms, i wonder how long the engine will last...>=)

I agree with that but the thing piston engines dislike is the 'to-and-from motion' of most parts. In rotaries everything is spinning and only a few moving parts. BTW, I've already seen this web site, that's a good one. It's been 12 years I own my rx7 and never had much problems except that I now know that it has been lacking power since then.

I've hit it a few times in my vert. In first I throw out a big fat flame. Isn't it at 8,000 rpm on the S4?

my 89 GTU had the rev limiter at 8500-8600 rpm...... damn that was fun my TII doesn't have one with the new ecu i think. it goes over 8000 for a seconds if i hold the throttle

my budy has a 86 and his rev limiter is at 7800. we tested that in the rain yesterday :lachuh:
