Drop the sleeves in a bucket of carb cleaner for a couple hours to shine them right up.

I've got the LIM off to work on the aux ports right now but was wondering what 'other things' you speak of should be done while Im in there?

Thnx

Just the general "make sure nothing is broken" routine. Like all the vacuum lines for the oil injectors, the oil injector lines, the pulsation damper, the injector o-rings, just make sure nothing's leaking.

Well, I got all the parts I need to hook up the actuators to the airpump and be RPM controlled. So i am going to do that this weekend.

I can push down on the actuators and I hear what I think is the ports opening but they do not open on their own. I tried the grease method (putting grease on the actuator rod and see if it moves) and nothing looked like it moved. It sure does seem though it would take more than 2-3 psi to open these things.

On a series 5, by pass the solenoid and the pressure will open the six ports. This is for test only. If they open all is good. Check the solenoid to see if it pass the electrical check.

5th and 6th actuate under power, i.e. blastin down the road, from idle in neutral, no, they will do nothing.

2-3 psi is all they need, really. If the sleeves weren't cleaned and/or were manipulated, (dropped, pineapple inserts, excess loctite, machining of some sort) they will not function properly which, in turn, can bend the rods and/or cause the actuators themselves to fail.
