yes, wtf? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/unsure.png My buddies 86 gxl starts w/o pushing in the clutch, and it won't shift at high rpms, but we just put in a used clutch master cylinder and there is no visble clutch fluid loss or air in the lines. :unsure:

Did you bleed it properly? Leaks can't always be seen too well. Does the pedal feel dead?

I believe 86 was the only year Mazda had a clutch start cancel on the rx-7's. On my 86 you never had to engage the clutch to start it, of course as long as it was in neutral.

87 and onward have the interlock and it's awfull funny when I getinto a car, especially with an auto, and go to push in the clutch to start it....

Chewck to make sure that the salve cylinder is moving far enough. It's possible that the clutch fork may be coming loose. Problems like that can have alot of causes.

I took my switch out when i thought that it went bad. But it was my starter that died. But hey, i can start my can in 1st and give it gas before it dies.
