So I finally got off my ass and started to doing some work to the FC again. Just to make sure they fit I bolted my 4 piston calipers to my 5 lug rotor/hubs. Passenger side was fine. But when I bolted the driver side together the rotor is making contact with the caliper. I haven't put the hubs on the car and was wondering what needs to be done to get these working right.

I read the title and thought, why the **** would you want to swap a 4-banger in for a rotary? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.gif

Is the rotor contacting along the sides or at the edge? Does anything look bent?

kinda both, I will take some pics tonight and post them up if my stupid compter will stop making itself restart.

When i did my 4 pistion swap, the front driver side rotors would touch the pads.

The pads where just uneven & the rotors i didn't even bother getting resurfaced.(its ok old pads plus old rotors for testing)

Put on the vented rotors and new hawk hp+ and good to go.

I didn't have a problem, I got my rotors turned too

still havin probs with my comp so here goes. The rotor is actually contacting the caliper itself right before the large open area where the pads would reside. The rotors actually look like they are in pretty good shape, they should just take a resurfacing and come hawks and be good to go.

So could this problem be caused by bearings or what?

wait till you install the whole thing, then worry about it. seriously. the slides are probably just not in the exact right position as youre trying to just put them on with no pads and not in the car.

kevin.
