Ok guys I did the search, I looked through all the suggestions, the TPS is set to 1 volt, and the car is acting weird as hell. 1988 N/A GXL
We removed the stock cats, has a newly installed header, and a gutted cat, the intake is the cone filter with adaptor from ebay, all installed at the same time. I broke the wiring for the O2 sensor, and am not sure exactly where it is under the UIM, so I have not hooked it back up. But here is what it does, the car revs beautifully to 3600-3800 rpm, then will just act like it hit a brick wall or a fuel cut, if you back out of the throttle the car will rev faster but still is extremely sluggish. Also the car is hunting the idle, 1200-1500 rpm now. the ground on the back of the block is good, and all the other connections are good as far as we can tell. all this happened after the install of all the parts above Suggestions are welcome. I will try to tackle the O2 this weekend |
Secondary injector wire pin broke? Stuck injector/s? yea that idle **** is ANNOYING! Its a vacuum leak probably.

I would start out by hooking the o2 sensor back up

The o2 sensor does crap, is only there for visual and o2 loop.
Check and see if your secondaries injectors by hook up a light or voltimeter to the injector plug and rev the cat to 4k to 4.5k and see if you see voltage. I would also check to make sure the AFM plug is fully plugged in and no vacumm leaks after it. If you have a tps tester, the one with the 2 light you can check your engine code and see if a sensor is faulty or disconnected. C |
