Yah, it really is caused by bad grounds. There's gotta be a million threads on here somewhere...

Ok lets calm it down, the only reason I posted this is because some one had mentioned to me that I would, so i did just to please them

lol, so i pulled the car in the shop and am working on it now, glad we are slow today for car time.

yeah all you have to do is clean up all the grounds

Screw the bad grounds, get rid of the stock ECU, and wiring harness.

but thats an expensive option

just grounding away, i work with a electrical guy that is having way too much fun with this!!! I should be grounded for sure after he is done

see that was probly alot easier and cheaper then going standalone

yea but eventually hell go standalone anywho.

this is wierd because the car seems to run better than it did before, very noticable, i have to say i was quite surprised

yea grounds is a common problem, always better to clean em up nice.



a bunch of little noticeable things happen when its grounded good.

in the process of cleaning all my electrical up myself.... anyone have a dash harness they can hook me up with?....

"grounds" = electircal ground. like red wire equals power. and black wire equals ground

URGH, now all I have to do is fix the stupid clock and life will be perfect, and you all know what I am talking about with that thing

well i should drive down to fl and you can check them for me, i dont know what the hell is going on in a car. or i could've just driven to co springs instead of fly last week. i was there at the cheyenne mt. resort for the air force dental lab conference. then you could have checked them 88vert. damn, im retarded when it comes to cars.

goddamn clock mines fucked up too but im too lazy to fix it lol it only work when it wants to and thats like close to never and when it does i have to fix to time any way

mine too. thought it was just slow, but i hopped back in my car about an hour later after driving and it was like 5 hours off than it was.

i think its on all of them lol

my 89's clock works fine.



my 88's turns on once a month or so.

I screwed around with the 3.8k hesitation on the vert forever, finally bought a Apexi AFC and that fixed it.

So the clock holds time but man it is destacting when you are cruising and the damn thing will light up bright then go dark, it is about to get the masking tape fix

i redid all the grounds in my 88 vert, engine bay looks like a giant red spider on drugs took up residence but i still have the hesitation, actualy it seems to be at around 2800 rpms now. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif

hesitation at 2800....u sure its not 3200?

it used to be between 3200 and 3800 now it seems to be starting sooner in the rpm range. only driven it once since i did all the wiring though im going to take a look at it in the morning if i get a chance though.
