Since I first tried the ECU checker, I've always had the code for the ECU coolant temp senson, behind the water pump. When I finally got around to checking it out, I noticed that the metal prongs of the plug actually pulled out of its socket, if that makes sense. In other words, I have the wire, then two metal prongs, then the plastic plug casing still on the collant sensor. What's the best course of ation here? Cut the plug off another car and crimp/solder it on?

Also, awhile back I had my injectors cleaned/flow-tested. I guess they wire-wheeled them, all clean and shiny. I noticed some surface rust on them now. Is that anything to be concerned about? Was I supposed to paint them?

here's somewhat of a pic:

the injectors are no biggie, its just cosmetic.

the best course for the coolant temp sensor is to get a new plug (its the same as a fuel injector, most autparts stores carry it), or grab one off of another car. mazda used that temp sensor on everything from 84-95 so it shouldnt be too hard to find

It's 2 wires, right? Does it matter if the wires are swapped? (maybe they're marked? I haven't torn all the electrical tape off yet)

nope the sensor is just a resistor, it doesnt care which way its plugged in

Sweet, I'll hack the plug off my parts car (assuming it looks good) and put it on there. Maybe it'll help my incredibly inconsistant idle.
