i have a 1987 rx-7 turbo 2 and i bought this thing for $2400. but when i got it i did not have any of the current problems. but i drove it 50miles and no issues but 3 dayz later i went about 30miles, and it started to run hotter never passsing mid on the temp gauge because i shut it down. the coolent level buzzer kicked on and such i waited . refulled the system and retryed went another 10 miles or so and repeated , went another 10 miles and made it home. but now i cant go 10 to 12 miles with out it traviling to "mid" on the temp gauge im fearing the worst "coolent seal" i have replaced the thermistat and radiatior cap. in serch of a solution next step is water pump . any thouhgts?

are you running an oem thermostat just wondering but yea i would say check the water pump and check your hoses to see if you have coolant flowing through them otherwise you might have a clogged radiator worst case you need a rebuild

yes, it is a oem replacement and i was thinking cloged radiator . but its not over heating sitting still. idk man im megga confused thinking about because not moving "stand still" it can sit and run all day but 10miles down the road it starts creepin , i even thought that maybe the clutch fan was slippin. but im going to pull the radiator out of mu other FC if the water pump dont fix it.

At least you got a test parts car lol

My TII runs mid on the temp guage all the time but the buzzer does not come on. This is not bad in my opinion. The buzzer however used to come on my car all the time but no leaks.....till I pulled back the carpet on the passenger side and saw coolant. This is from the heater core leaking. Check to see if you have coolant under the carpet. just a thought.

Normally you would be able to smell coolant if it was leaking alsi you could tell if it was leaking on every other color interior but black

There is some foam under my carpet and soaked up most of it...but was very little coolant enough to fry the ecu though. But guilty on the black interior

thats why you couldnt see it dark carpet covers the markings but did you smell anything?
