Hey guys, I just finished my last project NA and got really tired of the lack of power, I just bought a TII and i'm going to be dropping in a Ported Cosmos 13B RE sequential twin turbo engine. I'm quite familiar with the NA and TII engines but don't know much about the Cosmo engine. If you guys have any info that I can fill my head with it would be appricated such as, what makes the power difference , besides the twin turbo? , higher compression rotors? bigger exhaust and intake ports? just throw at me whatever you know. Thanks

13bRE has very large intake ports stock. The manifold also flow better. Other than that I have no idea.

IF you have a S5 TII then you can use the stock EFI providing you swap the RE CAS with the TII one.

hardened stationary gears i can fit 4 finges in the intake ports and thats without a street port.. just imagine the flow... the exhaust is very restrictive for low end torque.. u can port that a good amount as well.. you need custom motor mounts.. the same motor mounts used on a 20b.. you need a stand alone ecu.. like a haltech, microtech, power fc, etc... the twin turbo will have to run non sequential due to the factory ecu not being there.. My best opinion is to upgrade the exhaust manifold, turbo, wastegate, blow off all in once and also a good FMIC... thats just my opinion tho... dont get me wrong its a big project.. but its the next best thing to having a 20B.. thats for sure |

and hope this helps.. good luck on the swap if it does happen.. |
you can run the stock ecu, although its not the best setup. you will have to either convert it to non sequential, or better yet put the stock fc turbo on it, less headache and heat.
the 13b cosmo is rated at 230hp@6500rpms and 8.5psi mike |
