Ok. So i've asked about headers, and i've asked about plugs...

Do they make a chip for the N/A 86' ECU?

How about if i run Headers.... One Exhaust pipe for each rotor... one on each side of the car...

Would it be just a little too loud for normal Street/city driving?

Is there any performance gain.... without mufflers?

To be honest, i've never heard a rotary without Mufflers.

Anyways... Markus

N/A with TRUE duals like you mentioned and no mufflers/cats/silencers whatsoever, that would be so incredibly loud theres no way you could drive it on the street, or most tracks with a decibel limit.

I drove my car with just the header on (on the way to the exhaust shop). I swear I was about to rattle my car to pieces. It was too unbearable.

and surprisingly, it ran like crap

yeah, an unmuffled rotary is the loudest thing in the known universe. the dual setup works well, just put 4 mufflers in it and it will be quiet

As for the chip idea, I think JET may be able to reprogram your ECU or something but forget that... Once you do all the exhaust, air filter, pullies, efan, TB, etc, you still will probably not need more fuel. If you get into porting the engine, then you may want to just get a standalone and forget the stock ECU.

I have heard of some guys doing all the basic bolt ons (non-ported) and then dyno tune for some extra HP with an Apex SAFC.... In fact, the one NA guy from rx-7.com was running around 14.6 with the bolt ons, fuel and timing tuned like I said, Jacobs rotarymaster, and 4.30 ring and pinion, gutted hatch.... he claims it was non-ported. I can see that time with enough tuning and good 60's...
