THIS is the exact alternator i bought, olds CS130 105 amp.

THIS is the wiring harness you will need.

I had the guy install a Vbelt pulley for me, i twas 8.00$ USD. As you can see its near perfect

Attachment 16899

You have to cut the large ear down a bit (it just makes it easier to mount on the adjuster)

Attachment 16900

Plug in the L on the CS130 Alt plug to the L on the rx7's alt plug, R is not used anymore.

Attachment 16901

Connect S to the battery + terminal for a proper functioning alternator, you can also plug it into the B+ on the alt if you want a constant 14.4v

Cap off the other 2 unused GM CS130 wires.

(didnt picture the wire going to the battery + terminal, its not that hard to figure out!)

Belts, lines up perfectly camera angle is just a little weird.

Attachment 16902

How it looks from the front (NOTE: this is an old picture, my S wire is now going to my battery + terminal!)

Attachment 16903

13.5 V atm, you guys like my 1500 rpm idle?

did you get what I posted the last time?

This is very important if you want your alternator to last and not burn out, you need to check the resistance or just use the harness with the resistor already in place to insure the life of your alternator.

You need to purchase a conversion adapter that is just 2 short wires and 2 connectors. One is a CS connector to plug into the alternator, the other is a female connector to accept the SI plug which you can cut off or get the other end if you like.

There are two different types of conversion adapters. One is a non-resistor and the other has some resistance built-in it. The "L" wire that energizes the alternator needs some resistance (35 ohms or more) in it otherwise it will cause the alternator to fail. If you have a warning light in the dash then that bulb serves as the needed resistance and you should use the non-resistor adapter. If you don't have that bulb or have less than 35 ohms resistance in the "L" wire then you will need the adapter with resistance built in. If the "L" wire has more than 350 ohms then there is a problem with that wire and it will need to be fixed.

Non-resistor adapters:

- AC Delco: 8077

- Haywire: 2110

- Painless Wiring: 30707

Resistor adapters:

- AC Delco: 8078

That's why the new L is connected to the stock alternator warning lamp on the dash!

R is switched ignition

Also i will probably purchase one of those adapters in the near future to see how it works out.

you should not take it for granted that the dash light has the correct resistance, measure it

that green wire thats shown beside the alt where does it go?
