There is a ground after the Y pipe on the exhaust of our cars. I didnt have one on there for a while after I replaced my exhaust to see how it ran, then I added a nice new ground, and suddenly, flames on demand. :bigthumg:

I only used a 12 gauge cable and just hooked it from a bolt on the catalytic converter donut hook, then ran that to one of the bolts that connects the Y-pipe to the cat.

It should also be noted that throwing flames means you arent exactly running the best, but for those of us with no EGT gauge or wideband A/F, its a way of knowing your car is getting enough fuel.

Happy grounding https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

yeah i noticed that wire, and at first i was like what the hell is that? I was hmmmm do i want +volts running through my exhast? Any idea of where it goes to? Mine broke off.

Same with mine, it originally attached to one of the bolts on the drivers side muffler then went to the bolt that connects one of the exhaust donut hangers to the frame. I figured then, why not run the ground up before the y pipe, and then made a ground at the location above. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

hmm, interesting that grounding your exhuast would cause more flames, I would think it would reduce them, but in either case, that is awesome, now, where did I put my cable.

how/why does this happen? Could a toggle switch for flames be fabricated?
