So I bought this engine about 8 months ago from a jdm importer here in Canada I was guaranteed the engine was lo kilometers with good compression HA…

When it showed up I took it to the local Mazda dealership to have it compression tested and what do ya know a broken side seal in housing #2 and a stuck or broken apex seal in #3

After that I sent the comp results to the jdm importer and they said they needed pics inside the exhaust ports to prove a problem with the apex seal so I did and then they said they couldn’t warranty the engine because I pulled the turbo’s off the engine

(they are so lucky you can’t strangle people through the phone !!!!!!!!aaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggg)

So here are here’s a couple of pics of what was inside ps all 9 apex seals were in there places and none were broke but one was jammed can’t imagine y and there was a 1 inch piece of side seal missing and n evedance of it going anywhere

Yes that is a apex seal imprint in the rotor so the engine was pulled apart a new seal was put in with the f*** up rotor and housing then they sold it to me

y do people have to be bastards that's my only question

Ok I’m done venting now so if anybody has a spare 20b rotor in good shape that is for sale pleas let me know

so how much did you pay (ifn you don't mind). I been watching the price on ebay, they seem to have peaked a while ago at $4K+ and have since drifted down to mid $3K... i should bought one when they were at $2500, but who knew?

Tiger has a thing about draging things out so long that you cant leave fead back on ebay by the time stuff is resolved or you give up trying to deal with them

so, would a lawyer/barrister speed anything up? i just sold a svx to a lawyer from vancouver... maybe he could write a letter to speed things up. (dont know how the legal system works in the frozen north, but sometimes escalating the rhertoric will shake things loose....)

Obviously they mis-srepresented the engines true condition but realistically, you can replace that rotor and housing with some good used parts for about $250.00 and go on about your business. That's the beauty of rotaries. Repairing that damage will only be a fraction of what your really going to spend on the project anyways.
