"G,Day Jared

The turbo is a custom roller bearing Garrett turbo they build to our specs. It is very close to a T51R.

The porting is our turbo port, it is a very drivable, reliable port. I hope you liked the pictures we

sent you.

Cheers

Alec

Kiwi-RE"

It'll be in-house dyno tuned for 600 RWHP on C12.

Ha, I didn't do anything, but thanks anyway. As for the PS question:

"Hi Jared

You could probably pull most of the original engine/accessory parts off. Its a good idea however to utilise original charging/starting wiring harness. Power Steering can bolt on.

Just waiting on Shipping Price Think it should be around NZ$1500but I'll confirm it as soon as I find out

Thanks

Kiwi-RE"

So I'm guessing it is possible, at the very least with the FD's PS unit.

Il RX8 lI 05-17-2006 12:43 PM

And yes, I love the "Kiwi-RE" emblazoned on the housings as well.

KingFD 05-20-2006 02:27 AM

Thats looking awesome bro. I should pop down to Kiwi RE and ask if I can take a closer look.

KingFD 07-20-2006 02:52 AM

Hey Jared. Anymore news? Been 2 months since these pics. Must be on it's way to you now, right?

ArmyOfOne 09-23-2006 03:45 AM

Quick question since I missed this thread the first time around...

What is that part on the lower front cover?

Il RX8 lI 09-24-2006 03:51 PM

Isn't it part of the dry sump? We got news back from them on the dyno tune (they wouldn't start that part until all payments were made) that it made 600 hp at 7200 rpms at 12 psi.

Its the oil pump assembly for the dry sump kit.

So, when are you getting this engine?

I'm also guessing 600HP at the flywheel? Are you getting it tuned for higher boost? By looks of the turbo, I'm guessing you are.

We'll keep it as-is for right now, get it started and let me practice with it a bit on the track. If I find that we need more power, we'll retune it for more.

I know a guy who has ton of experience tuning rotaries. When you need tuning, I'll give you his info. He's out of the country but comes to US quite often.

Also, is this going in your 8 or the 7? if it goes into the 7, I think you might need more hood clearance if you are using stock UIM. We could chat about this if you want. Drop me an email and I could help out.

Il RX8 lI 09-28-2006 04:15 PM

Definitely not into the 8. I'll be sure to let you know if we see any problems and appreciate the offer.
