hey guys not quiet sure if this is really suited to this forum but here goes

i just wanted to know what size wastegates you guys are using on your 20b's and with what results, im looking at using a gt42r turbo but am unsure what what size wastegate to use?

ive seen people use twin wastegates instead of one big one .....whats the advantage?

any advice or tips would be great

cheers

yeah whats size wastegate is it?

Midnightdriver 06-06-2007 04:09 PM

you should use a 48-50 mm wastegate.. As posted before the turbosmart 48mm or an HKS 50mm

i use a 60mm ebay gate, low setting 9psi, high setting 16. works great!

T4 or T6 42R? Which turbine housing?

42r_ek 10-31-2007 06:16 PM

I have a 42r on one of my non-rotary cars. The manifold is dual gated, and I use two tial 44mm wastegates, 10.9psi springs in each

they work great
