I am posting this due to the loss of posts i found out about from the email sent to me from the admin. This will help many of of w/ tuning maps and just tips on how to trouble shoot. This is the current status, Its a slow process... As you can see I'm building a 20B, will be streetported... Now I'll be going for a single... The question is, wich one? The car is for street usage, better to have 500hp from 4000 rpm than 650 from 7000rpm..., I was thinking about a HKS T04Z with the 1.0 A/R exaust.. will this baby be to small or not? Something homemade, made it in 5 mins from a old VW tool wich was lying aroud.. just made to hole slightly bigger and welded a rong on it https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png I just took some pictures! I also have a question about the 2 rear side housings, as you can see, they had water, now at the very bottom the chrome look is away, do I need to let replolish them or would fine sandpaper clear the job? Another solution is that I maybe can buy a FD engine for almost noting and use those side housings..? Btw, can you reopen the tread about your Whipple 20B, looked very nice! Thanks for uploading some pictures of your puller.
Use a razor blade. Scrape through the rust und see if the nitrided surface has been damaged/softened. I've seen some waterdamaged plates that were so soft I could scrape the metal away with a fingernail. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png |

the point of this was to get everyone EMS (microtech,haltech,tec3,motec....ect.) , injector size, and turbo size so we can all help each other in the future w/ settings ,maps and tuning. rotary4life...perfect. thanks!!!!! |

I'm searching for the ideal turbo, low rpm torque and top en hp... I only scared that the T04Z will choke the engine above 7000 rpm.. anyone tried this combo before? |

I bought my car pretty much full tuned. I plan changing a few things when I get back to the states though. Here's a list of what it has and the future changes.
20b FC 13b exhaust housings, stock ported motor custom engine brackets eurethane engine and tranny mounts T88-34D Amemeya exhaust manifold Sard 60mm type J wastegate 3" DP to dual 3" exhaust stock primary injectors and 1000cc secondarys Sard FPR Amemeya collector tank fuel cell 3x bosch 044 fuel pumps moroso fuel cool box Motec m8 Trust 4 core fmic 100mm cold pipe and 70mm hot pipe q45 90mm TB Bride Brix seats stock transmission OS giken triple plate Cusco 7pt roll cage Mazdaspeed rear tower bar Amemeya rear camber links Mazdaspeed 1.5 LSD Endless brake stop Hurst roll controll R-Magaic front bumper with headlight conversion Amemeya vented hood Amemeya mirrors The car ran good and I didn't have any real big issues with it. It was originally tuned for 1.4bar of boost but only hit that once on the dyno. It netted 587.4rwhp @ 1.25bar. Things that i'm going to change when I get back to the states. I currently have 3x 1600cc injectors and custom fuel rail. I sold the OS triple plate clutch and bought an ATS carbon triple. I also bought a Stillway zero yon shifter in hopes I can destroy my stock transmission. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif I also have a full set of defi bf's which i'm contemplating getting rid of in favor of a stack unit. I also will be doing away with the twin exhaust and installing my new Border exhaust. I'm currently working on cutting out the inside of the 20b UIM and will have it extrude honed later in the future. I may try to sale the T88 and pick up a dual bb T72. I will also be looking into a fix for the front sway bar. I have the cosmo 20b sway bar. Maybe I can make something out of that for the fc and if not i'll be getting ahold of Ted. As of about 4 months ago the shell was crushed into a small cube and the rest of the car is in my garage all boxed up. -Destin |
I also have an HPI ignition box. Not sure if I need it or not but i'm sure it can't hurt anything. How good is the stock ignition system anyways?

Who's using 3mm's in his 20B?
I'm planning around 550-600 rwhp, would this be necessairy? I don't think so but everywhere I read that when you go to more then 200hp/rotor you should go for 3mm's..? |

Only the inserts or complete rotor housings? So you must have drilled out the 2 holes where the thicker bolts are? Greetz |
Sleeve swap. As for your 2mm vs 3mm question, I couldn't tell you. It's been debated a lot and I don't know the answer anymore.
