This Rx3SP was put together By Rene JR from Los Angeles CA AKA (61620B).

This project took only 4 weeks from start to finish,as of JAN 31 it was officially completed and running.

This was one rare moment for me and the Rx3SP to mate the radical 20B engine and a 1977 mazda Rx3SP

together and to have one sweet ride.

You can also view this complete story of 20B Mazda Rx3SP at :

Here are some of the pictures of the sweet ride.

****** sweet. what turbo is that on there?

rowtareh 02-05-2007 06:53 PM

Wow! Good job! How did you manage to squeeze that in there? Looks like a tight squeeze. Any numbers yet?

61620B 02-06-2007 05:14 PM

The turbo is a turobnetics Y2K88 (88MM) ball bearing turbo.

The engine fits like a glove in the car,its a trick porcess but it was fitted witout

cutting the engine firewall.

Horsepower is not available yet, the engine is still not broken in,but i will post up

when we dyno in the future.

Any more updates yet? Did you mount the motor at the front and at the rear of the block? Just want to find out the best way to do it for when i do my rx3 20b conversion.

Clarks7 10-12-2007 10:26 AM

The nice part is, it is clean! The install is beautiful all the way to the muffler!

And good choice to use a pre-smog car...right?

Love to hear the updates!

carlosmazda 10-18-2007 11:54 PM

I will love to do this to my Rx-3.Can I get the # for Rene JR about installing that engine in my car:ok:

Clarks7 11-01-2007 11:57 AM

I just read the entire thread on the rx7club forum... Wow! What great work and attention to detail. Is Rene still working on projects?

I notice the topic of cost was passed over a couple of times on the other forum. Could you give us a teaser or a breakdown of the cost?

That thing is insane!
