I am in the process of rebuilding a normally aspirated 20B for use in an aircraft.

I have a 13B DVD from Bruce Turrentine but the differences are somewhat sketchy.

Has anyone located a source?

I already have my PSRU and Mount. I'm hoping to have the airframe done by the end of the summer.

I wanted to get started on the rebuild. My aircraft is composite construction so there are times where you have to allow parts to cure. The rebuild would be a good use of that downtime to meet my timeline goals.

Still searching for a manual.

Sounds about right. 300 HP/NA is my target as well. Lighter and more HP than an IO-540 Lycoming.

I'm using Tracy Crook's PSRU and his ignition system as well. Pricey stuff but reliable.

The engine mount is from CG products. Again, reliable stuff. Well engineered.

A guy up in CT had a 13B that he put a turbo on. It ate the impellor blades and he was still able to fly it home. One of the rotor housings took the hit. You'll never be able to do that with a piston engine.

Don't know if you are familiar with Mistral-Engines.com.

in the workshop manual there is no engine section. IF it existed, its internal to mazda japan

Hmmmmm ...... wonder how they ever worked on this engine in NZ or Oz.

My brother in law and I were talking this past weekend and he knows a guy who is a true Mazda wiz that works at the local dealership. I think I'll just have him do the work on it and maybe pay extra to help https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.gif

$45/Hr shop fee

$60/Hr if you watch

$80/Hr if you help
