Okay, I'm staring at the FSM and I must say I have no clue how to wire the ignition system (as in the keyhole not the coils, etc) and gauges!

So you don't know how to get power to the haltech? Is that what you're saying? On the E6K you simply power the grey wire with 12v from the ign switch not sure if the E6X is the same way.



You don't have to change any of the wires to make the stock gauges work, just remove the old sensors from teh 12a and put them in the 13b.

Nah I understand that, but what about the ignition switch? How do you wire that?



How are the gauges going to get power?



That sorta stuff. I mean, I removed the old ECU, was I supposed to keep it? According to the diagrams it sends power to a lot of the switches on the steering column and such...

the stock ecu ONLY runs the emissions stuff on the engine, thats it. pulling it out makes no difference to anything else

Yeah that's what I remember you guys saying, but in the FSM, it shows all the pins acting as switches basically.



In other words, how do I hook up the ignition switch? What power wire runs to the coils?

Why do you have to hook up the ign switch? Did you cut some wires or something? Do you own a multimeter?

To power the FC coils (do you have FC coils right?) take that big black wire with the white stripe (IIRC) and run it to the power wires to the coils.

Like I said, the gauges don't need any "new" power going to them, they will work the same whether you have a 12a or a 13b-re.

I apologize for my extreme retardedness, but I'm confused about the +12v ignition switched wire that must be run to each coil. Where does this come from?
