What is the best looking and most functional way of deleting the oil metering pump lines.. Which of course would mean I would have to premix right...

yup you would have to premix.

Make a block off plate and use the stock gasket.

block off plate works? and oil pressure?
thanxs! |
Just take the oil metering pump of and put a plate there?
Has anyone had any problems just using premix and not both... The only reason I want to delete it is because i'm going to a weber 48ida and I don't want to cut up my intake manifold... -C- https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif |
There's a better reason than that. Running premix will give you a more even spread of lubrication across the apex seal face. With the oil injectors, the oil is concentrated in the centre. If you've taken apart a rotary that's been running on the metering pump for a long time, you've probably noticed that the edges of the rotor housings are in worse shape that the centres. That is why. My next engine I build will definitely be running premix. I didn't know this when I did my current engine.
