Hmm, so you think this is a lightened aftermarket 73 rx2 flywheel or stock unit? Could it be a factory race part?

if its got an 0839 on it id say its a lightened stock unit

I'll contact mazdatrix. Hopefully this gap isn't too much and spacers will work.

Doh! I was thinking the gap was between the friction surfaces, not the mounting surfaces.
