Dont know if anyone knows or not but if you go to victoriabritish.com you can get a free catalog. It has pretty much what ever part you want or need for your rx-7.

Shane.Trammell 11-21-2005 03:44 PM

yeah and higher prices than pretty much anyone else. good if you cant find it somewhere else, but almost always more expensive

rowtareh 11-21-2005 03:53 PM

They are expensive, but have **** that is hard to find. I heard the carpeted interior's are of poor quality though. Anyone clarify that??

You are better off looking in junkyards first before buying off of victoriabritish.

I have to disagree with this. Some stuff is ok, some stuff isn't. I bought a butt load of stuff from VB for the MGB I restored. Most was ok. Trouble is, you don't know what's good and what isn't before you order it.

rootbeerdragon 12-18-2005 09:51 AM

dude if u go to the junk yard, your gunna get junk yard quality, victoria british is the way to go, but really expensive, atlantarx7.com gets there parts from the junk yard too, safe to say, go with victoria british

j9fd3s 12-18-2005 05:49 PM

rowtareh 12-19-2005 02:25 AM

rootbeer- i was speaking of interior pieces, small stuff from junk yards. not slave cylinders, brake lines, etc.

everyone is afraid to go to the dealer, that would mean going in person and talking to someone https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png

lol. yeah, same price though

Rob x-7 12-19-2005 09:14 PM

I think the problem with most people now is they are "know-it-alls", they call the dealer pretending to know everything and wonder why they get the wrong parts, I think it gets done on purpose.

I call and leave it in thier hands, I never get the wrong parts and never have to correct them. I have all my info in hand and when I call them I just compare what they tell me to what I have written down- always matches. Its much easier to call them and have my parts the next day or in 2 days the latest.

Last time I tried to get parts from a dealer they said they couldn't get anything for "those old cars". I bought some door handles and other miscellaneous stuff from Victoria British and didn't have any trouble. I've also bought Mazda parts from Mazdatrix and didn't have any trouble.

I will say to stay away from Mazdatrix's aftermarket control arms unless you put your own tack welds on the ball joint. When it comes loose it makes the steering real funky.

drifter 12-21-2005 02:27 AM

I went to a dealer with a parts catalogue and nearly all of the stuff I couldn't get. I could get new doors though... at about $1500 a piece from memory. The drivers door cost more. ~$2000

I did get a rear hatch piece, so I can take out the rusted back and weld in a new one.

yeah for some reason some dealers dont want to sell stuff. mazdatrix buys from a dealer.....

Rob x-7 12-21-2005 10:39 AM

its not like mazdatrix or victoria british are making thier own parts and putting the mazda stamp on them.
