FB Vert's http://www.winisp.net/gsl-se/convertible/page6.jpg |
did anyone see the avatar original price list? a twin turbo 13b in 1984, that would have been cool
|
I like them when they are done right, that was just a unfinished, dodgy job. It looks like a "I know, [(angle grinder + bog) = (convertible)] type of job.

When it comes to Old-Skool 'Verts, my favorite has always been:
http://www.celicas.org/members/roehmc/car6.JPG 1985 Celica GTS Convertible. Now, with a Turbo Supra engine added in, it would be even nicer.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blush.png My first car when I was 16, was a blue Celica GTS Coupe. Looked awesome, drove alright, but always overheated.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif After that, Seven's only. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif |
Nice celica.I was thinking before I bought the 84 that if I couldn't find a FB I was going to buy my friends 84 celica and drop the T2 in it.They look alright stock but still not good compared to a nice FB like yours or some of the other members stock bodied ones like Iotus has.

looks like their kind of work. Raul All the ones I've seen (not many) were sent to ASC directly from japan to be "convertiblized". They had a DOT safety sticker in the drivers door jamb from ASC saying something like "This vehicle has been modified and still conforms to Federal safety standards of this year model...yadda yadda yadda" That's why I asked. I didn't know they had Factory 'verts too. Raul |
