Thumbs up

I'm debating on building a heavily ported N/A or just a beefed up ported turbo engine to drop in my '79. Any advice, comments, sarcasm is welcomed

PS I am on a bit of a budget if that makes a diffence, switching ecus and harnesses is no problem (check sig)

how much power do you want? i think about 170-210hp is doable na, the stock t2 motors prolly will do about 220-230 with just an exhaust. an s4 t2 motor might be the way to go, as the wiring is very similar to your na setup

I'm buying turbo housings and plates to build a motor, then I got to thinking about it and decided that a turbo would be doable so I was just wanting to here some ideas. I'm not concerned with how much HP, I'm happy with what I have now, but speed does tend to be a drug, so I want more! Alot of my friends have turbo II's, I can keep side by side with one but the other runs 12's so, I want to be a bit more competive for him, or beat him

Haven't got it yet, still gotta save the money up

But it will be an 11 second car to start off with, with room to upgrade (i can get a bigger turbo, FMIC, etc later on)

It will have a port job, rebuild, TII block, microtech, top mount IC, 3 or 3.5" inch exhaust, TII tranny, and a CLEAN ENGINE BAY YAYYYY!

It will be silver/blue.
