I recently sold a glass sunroof that I took out of my '84 rx-7 and the guy I sold it to claims that it will not fit any of his rx-7s '83 '84 and '85 .. He says it is way too small.. I was wondering how that could when it came out of an 84. I thought that the only sunroof that didn't fit was an early '79.. Can someone correct me or tell me how to make it work with the car.

was your roof a factory roof or are the other guys factory , i know stupid question but it needed to be asked

The other guys sunroof is the factory metal one(s) and as far as the glass one it appeared to be factory to me. there wasn't anything that looked botched together or anything when I removed it

You got a picture of your sunroof opening? We could tell from the picture if your car sunroof is factory. If it is factory and the glass roof does not fit the other guys car then his opening is non factory. A 84 roof will fit any factory opening from 1981 to 1985. I own a 82 and 85 and my glass roof fits both just fine.



Also maybe have the other guy send you a picture showing the glass roof not fitting.
