My wife and I aren't tiny people, and we cannot seem to ride in the car together. The rear end bottoms out too easily. Is there

a solution that will not end up lowering the car? The rear shocks are new KYB gas A just, and the front suspension is completely rebuilt

with urethane. Maybe a stock replacement spring? It doesn't seem to sag at all though, just hits the bumpers when we hit a bigger than avg. bump.

I know these cars should carry more weight than this one does. Two average people

plus luggage would render this car unusable.,,,,BB

you might have just worn out springs, however the kyb shocks are not very stiff . i would loose them and use koni yellows as the compression and rebound are much firmer then match a stiffer spring , like the springs we use on an E-production race car. call mazdatrix , talk to dave tell him your issues and he will set you up.

I don't really have enough money to keep swapping shocks, but a set of springs would probably work. It rides fine, just bottoms out to easy. I believe it's

the springs, as they're 26 years old now, hehe. Thanks for the spring suggestion.,,,,BB

Remember the maximum load on a first gen is only 300 lb. Me and my girl friend weigh about that and we are pretty light people ( i am 165 lb and she's only 120). You do need so more spring in the rear then RB had has some springs that have dead woven original height springs that are 20% stiffer then the stockers. I think that would help, might make the car a little tail happy without the second body in the car but if your under 200 hp I do not think that it will be noticeable.
