I purchased a beautiful 85 rx7 from a friend from my marina, because i told him that i loved sports cars and was looking to buy one. He sold it for a very reasonable 500. Afetr taking it for a test drive I fell in love. I went home and got all the rotary info i could. At the time i had never heard of a ratary engine. I bought the car the next day and put it in storage for the winter. I have driven the car for a total of 3 seasons. I love that car but i would like to have a little faster one. While I searched for a new car I realized that the prices for them were much higher that i payed for mine. It now has 85k on the odo and I would love to sell it to a real rotary nut (you know keep it in the family). And buy a 2nd gen for the summer. If anyone here would like to purchase the car that started the rotary craze them e-mail me. Or if someone wouldn't mind selling thier baby. send an email my way.

Why do you want to go from a first gen to a second gen? Not the second gens are bad or anything, but first gens rule. And with only 85k miles. Id just work on that 12A and get it spinning faster.

Just my opinion.

I agree with treceb, I would keep it and build it up. There are quite a few things that you can do to get it faster. First thing is to change the exhaust system to a performance system. Get a header and a catback or if you aren't in a emission control area, a complete system. You can get aftermarket carbs.

I am currently having my 83 converted to a Turbo. My friend has already done his and he is more than fast enough.

You are probably going to pay a decent penny for a 2nd gen T2, which to me, would be the only 2nd gen to buy.

It's like everything else, just depends on how much you want to spend.

i'm gonna say stick with what works. just invest in some http://www.racingbeat.com exhaust products and your first gen will be moving quite nicely https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
