ok so i know that its natural for rotaries to burn oil and create a nice cloud of blue coming out of the exhaust. My question is how much smoke should a fine working, good conditioned 12a conjure. On some days

(usually when its a little warmer) she makes little to no smoke at all but on other days she will make a good amount of smoke which comes out just for a couple seconds (usually for 3-4 seconds but today it lasted like 10) which starts either as soon as she starts up or a couple seconds after. If im burning to much does that mean my seals are bad or something? Is something wrong with my baby or am I just being a hypocondriac. about my cars health of course.

Make sure you don't have too much oil in it, first of all. Oil smoke is a sign of bad oil control rings, which requires a rebuild to fix. However, on a past motor I had good luck controlling the issue by using a quart of Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer in place of 1 quart of motor oil. It helped a lot. I still use it now with the new motor, just as a preventive measure...

So your saying that any oil being burnt is bad? I've been told that it's natural at start up. It does at start up but doesn't at any other time so I'm guessing it's not too bad if anything. Thank u for the input though
