did the Japan market get the GSL-SE specification, or was the 12A-T what they got instead?
|
i'm not 100% sure but i think in 83+ all the jdm cars have the gsl-se suspension and brakes, they had a choice of engines too. it seems like they had the 12a-t, and the carby 12a (like what we have), but also they had the 6 port 12a in there somewhere.
the 83-85 cosmo's had the gsl-se engine |
so, they didn't get the six-port 13B, but they got all the other 'SE goodies?

In 1983 the japan market released the GTX model wich came with a carburated turbo 12A. Wich belted out 160HP. Instead we got the crapt GSL-SE wich only had 135HP!! its actually injected (ive got an ecu for one sitting right here) its got 160jis hp which is roughly equal to our 135sae hp. or to put it another way the gsl-se motor in japan had 160jis too.... |
Good to know Thanks, i was looking at jspec 13bt's. the site said they had 205ps. How many sae HP is that????
|
ps (pferdes-starke) is metric horsepower, 1 PS = 0.99 HP
