Man, what a great place for the MSD's!!!
i still dont understand how to hook up 2 MSD's into 1 ignitio system.
Robert, do they really make much of a diff?

BTW, 1 MSD for Leading, 1 MSD for Trailing when running a distributor.
Running 1 on Leading is fine.
When Running an FC or FD style (Wasted Spark) ignition, then you either need to use 1 or 3.
I thought I had a pretty good place too..

Good call directfreak!! Which do you think would be better?
I'm going to be running an FMIC, as well as a front-mounted fan (Possibly).

How are you securing that DF?I was going to do that to my 83 but the battery doesn't have ay real good spots to make a bracket to hold it down.On my GT-X the battery is gonna be in a battery box somewhere behind the drivers seat.I know I will need a cage tho.Especially with my turbo.

You first bolt down the tray, then the rest bolts to the tray.

Thats beautiful.Have you your primaries working on your RE yet?Does it run???
It will be running by the end of the week
Long Story though...I ended up connecting the Haltech up with the help of another Haltech installer, and it would not work. Even with the laptop that he uses for every installation. It seems that I got a defective E6K. Since I bought it in AUS, Haltech USA doesn't warrant it. My Haltech is fried, and I have to send it back to AUS. It won't work with any PC, and recongize sensors. I tdecided to take out the current terminated harness out to
buld a streamlined, custom harness, out of a un-terminated harness.
During the time that it takes to send it to AUS, get it served, and send it back, I am borrowing a buddies Holley and Intake from his Turbo FB. Down here, Holley turbos are more prevalent than the Webber systems. Since he recently upgraded to a Haltech F10, he was going to sell it to another friend of mine. But I convinced that other friend to try to blow through his nikki first, and I will give him one of my 12AT intakes to use as a carb bonnet. This way everyody is happy.
So now I have a blow-through system installed for a few months, while I dial in the car. I decided to do this when I realized that all I needed to do was change the FPR, and add another intercooler pipe (between where my old pipe ended against the RE intake) and connection to the new Bonnet. Slap on the intake and carb, and I am done.
Soo, I am gonna run that for a few months, and get the rest of the little details finished, until my ECU gets back. It should be good for at least 350rwhp. It will get the car moving, and I won't go stir crazy looking at a completed car in my garage, without hearing it run. I'll get the stereo finished, the interior re-done, and maybe the body kit installed and painted in the mean-time.
By then Cris's shop should have room for my new Haltech install, using the new streamlined harness.

Damn Alex, sounds like you're having fun! I would have gone nuts by now If I were you walking by the "finished" car every day with out being able to hear it run... Will the carb intake bolt to the cosmo engine? If I remember right there were a few bolts that were different due to the tall intake ports.
Regarding the harness, good to hear you're going to make it custom. I don't see why people buy the terminated harnesses because every car is going to be different for wire length. I found that I only had to lengthen the wires going to my coils, all others were plenty long with the flying lead harness. You might be ok if the ign wires only have to go to your MSD's up front. I ran my harness out where the a/c lines would be and along the firewall to the brake master then down a long the frame to the coils.
