I know that I'm not very well known here ... yet ... I just spend more time at the sister forum (www.rx7club.com) but my moto is usually "If its extra ****, then its just heavy ****" ... I like to do things the right way while mainting lightness in mind. Basically the rewirind of the engine bay is mean to take out all the uncessary wiring left over from the rats nest, cruise control, AC, and anything else that is unnessary.

Also I had to keep in mind that the battery will be relocated to the rear and relays will be installed for things such as headlights(2), power windows(4), fuel pump(1).

Also the carputer (really just means a computer in a car) features a Jetway board with a via 2ghz processor,1gb ddr2 ram, 4gb compact flash drive, 60 gb Hitachi HD, PW-200-M 200W DC-DC power supply, panasonic/pioneer slot loading DVDRW, 7" touchscreen LCD lilluput 629 screen. More things will be added such as GPS, Creative sound card for better sound to the speakers and so on.

Lastly I should mention that I will be going with ITB down the road hence the harness passing though the center of the engine behind the alternator to hide all the wiring from that into it. Interior is basically done just working on the engine area.

I know all these projects in one time ... this guy must be insane .. lol .. well maybe I am a bit https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.gif

BTW ... In the end I ended up taking about 3 bags full of unwanted wiring.

I did a bunch of that myself.

Check out the cool fuse box I found @ West Marine up on Lakeshore in TO;

Blue Sea fuse block

The also have a nice ciruit breaker for the main battery lead when you relocate the battery.

that is a good looking one ... but not sure how it will flow in my engine bay. I need to find another mounting stop for it and go on from there.
