I make a thread on my entire build-up, etc but for now I've got a quick question..

My GSL came with the red leather interior - but the door panels have faded to ever so common "Brown"...

I'm looking for a good vinyl/leather dye kit to return it to its original color, but not sure what the best would be or where to get it and make sure its the right color.

Any thoughts?

ive used the S.E.M. brand, in burgandy for years, its not an exact match, but its really really close. theres a lot of orange in the stock color, so most off the self stuff is a little more red. this burgandy is really close though.

the door panel comes apart pretty easily too.

buy the little knick knack bits new, and it looks great

I am a technical advisor for Parasol Inc. We manufacture and distribute leather dye. We may be able to help you with your dye situation. We are able to custom color match if you are able to provide a sample. There is a minimum purchase quantity for this service, but it is great for those folks wanting an exact match.

For more information, please visit our web site at: www.Parasolinc.com

The EXACT match isn't as important when it comes to cost... I will check out the stuff J9 referred to. Its just that the original burgandy has faded to brownish/green and the doors don't match the dash at all. I'll also need a new shifter and shift boot too.

I'd like to get OE leather GSL seats, but they can be pricey, so I may just throw some other ones in... I want a decent restoration, but the engine is already so far from stock that trying to do an actual full restoration is pointless.

Thanks for the tips...

ive dieded the knob and boot too, although, since you're touching it, and its moving and stuff, its not gonna last as long...

you might wanna check an upolstery shop, clark had his gsl-se seats redone, it was CHEAP and they look WAY better than you'd expect

Who's clark? lol - I honestly dont have much for upholstery shops around here that I know of. I also want to auto-x the car and can get good deals on sparco sprints which would be better than the leather.

I'll check around.. thanks.
