looking at a paint job this spring, and was thinking about removing the body side moldings, do the side lights attach to the car if i remove the moldings, dont want to pull them off if i cant attach the side lights ....staying with a dark color too,,,any one have pics of car w/o the molding?

you dont need them to attach that lights. I pulled mine off to do some body work... it looks kinda goofy with out them though unless you wire in some different lights or something.. the lights on the car stick out like a sore thumb with no molding... you could prolly get you some decent sidemakers for any ricer store but there gonna have to be so big to cover the hole that is there for the wires to come through

I'm torn about what to do with my trim when I re-paint. I hate how difficult it makes waxing and polishing, but at times I think it really compliments the lines of the car. Right now I'm leaning towards removal.

im tempted to go outside and rip the molding off right now, nut i dont want to drive around with my sidemarkers hanging by electrical tape

the molding under the gas cap is warped from the previous owner dripping fuel on it i guess so ill have to take everything off except the front bumper. has anyone got any how to's on what to do about the sidemarkers sticking way out after removal?
