I Dropped a 1983 GSL LSD with disk breaks into my 1980 RX7 Everything bolted up the same. The big thing was the break lines. The drum breaks use a different fitting than the Disk. I make that mistake to the tune of $100 bucks. I threw away the old line before I new I needed the disk break side. I then had to find the right fitting and have them custom made. They are braided stainless steel so they should out last everything else on the car.
Also it seemed like there was about 15 bolts I had to remove. Keep in mind the suspension will be fully extended while you do the swap so things won't line up correctly. I also had a transmission jack with fine adjustment knobs for the tilt on the lift plate. I lashed the whole axle to the Lift Plate and and used the fine adjustments to get it aligned it also allowed me to compress the suspension to help with the alignment . It only took me 20 minutes to put it in. With that jack I didn't have to fight anything I could move it until things slipped into place. I would rent one you will thank you self later.
Just go slow and pay attention to the order you removed the shocks and sway-bar. Enjoy.
