Hey Steve

I remember reading about the oil to gas ratio in a thread in this forum.Did you try a search on premix?

If you're running without an OMP then I'd suggest that you premix with 2-stroke oil instead. 1oz of 2-stroke per gallon of gas is usually recommended but I also understand that this might be a little on the heavy side. As far as my car goes..... I still have my OMP and I premix about 10oz of 2-stroke oil per tankfull. I call it insurance and my car runs just fine without smoke.

I was under the impression you shouldn't really use regular sump oil.

Mixing fuel with 2-stroke oil = no/less smoke.

Otherwise your just burning regular oil = smoke from exhaust https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/v1.gif

Try .852 oz of 2 stroke (tcw3 rated) oil per gallon of gas. It equals out to 11.928(rounded to 12oz)oz of 2 stroke oil per 14 gallons of gas(typical fillup for 2gen TII). This is what I use and was told to use by Chris Ott at Rotary Performance. The 14 gallon fillup is average for my car. My car has an 18.5 gallon tank. If your tank is smaller you can just do the math and multiply .852 by the number of gallons you plan on putting the tank.

Thanks All for the Replies;

Well I did the Valvoline tcw3 2 stroke oil thing. Mixed 8oz to 10gals of petro.

Drove her to the Coast Wednesday, hrad threw the curves and even harder on the straights. Alot less smoke and seemed to have a little more power response. Though that could be may mind playing tricks on me.

I guess I was confused about MMO. I thought that you could use it instead of 2 stroke oil w/OMP disconected?

The other thing I added a tube of Synthetic additive to the Transmission Gear oil and noticed now I have whinning noise coming from it. Ran grat and no noise before I added the stuff. Any Ideas why this happened. The Trannie only has 1600miles on it and maybe I should have left will enough alone?

Should I drain it and start all over with Castroil all over again without the additive???

Thanks again for the help.
