I went out to get some stuff from the store and just before I pulled into my driveway I noticed the pressure gauge read 0. I checked the oil immediately and it was still there, so it didn't leak out. The oil filter was hot, so the oil appears to be flowing. I'm guessing one of the wires to the sensor came loose or something, but I'm not sure where the sensor would be located.

Could anyone tell me where I could locate the sensor so I can check this. Also, if you might have a better idea of the problem, and advice would be appreciated.

If memory serves, the sending unit resides just below the oil filter, and has a single wire attached to it. Most likely, either the sending unit is bad, or the wire is loose. Regardless, I'd fix it right away.

The oil filter will still be hot even if you don't have any oil pressure.

That's exactly where it was, Thanks. Turns out it had just slipped off, odd connection though, looks like it would be very prone to falling off.

yeah its easy to bump it off when changing the heater hose, or the brakes or whatever else is over there
