My last car was a '90 Jetta too! You'll love the 7, handles like its on rails and deff. out-accelerates the jetta as well!
If you don't mind the noise, the first true mod I'd do is exhaust... rotaries love to breathe easier. However, when you first get the car, I'd go over all the belts and replace all the fluids. I'm more of a 2nd gen guy so I'm sure one of the 1st gen gurus around here have more detailed information for ya. |
tell us when u get it https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
Edit: WELCOME TO NO PISTONS! |
any thing i should look for before buying
and its been sitting for 5+ years what should i do before i try to start it |
before starting do the atf trick. is the car a gslse?
also change the oil and gas before starting. |
check for rust in the rear bins, and for rust on the wheel wells too. like shane said, is it a gsl-se?
you can pretty much ask us any question, we should have the answer for you. welcome to nopistons.com! |

atf trick do you mean atf in the plug holes or down the carb, a little goes a long way |
well i'm wondering about the reliability of the 12 a motor because i need to find a new job and possible drive from brainerd minnesota to wisconsin for a heavy equip operater classes a couple of times.
ther car has 80 000 some odd miles and has been garaged for the past 8-10 years i now know the atf trick and new fluids but is there any thing else cuz if i cook the motor i have a nissan z motor in a 1985 720 pickup that would get swapped in but i'd like the roary to last longer than a few weeks |
o and are all of these cars manual or are some auto
