So, here it starts... a long time ago in, well... NorCal my wifey totaled my last project, lol. New to rotaries and even newer to this forum. I picked up a 83 Rx7 (auto) for $500 in reno and its lasted me a couple of weeks so far... it says it only has 103k miles. Wifey checked the oil and so I told her to put more in, she put 2qts in here in town b4 she left for Reno NV and 5qts more rit b4 she left Reno NV... she said for most of the drive home which is about 1.5 hours the motor was bogging and a huge plume of white smoke was chasing her so she kept it under 3k rpms the whole way. I changed the oil and it was so much better... even better then when we bought it a couple weeks ago. Im thinking she might hav hurt it though and it might have a leak, ill kno when i check it this weekend.

Considering a 2nd gen 13b-T or 3rd gen 13b-rew TT swap... ne ideas on pros and cons.

i have an 83 with a 89 13bt not a bad swap. the cost was not high and the time invested wasnt that bad for the fun car it turned out to be. i used a early 13b front cover on the 13bt to use the motor mount location or you can fab up some custom mounts. have fun with the up coming project
